General Copyright and Usage Policy:
All artwork illustrated and/or created by Bill Border for clients is protected by copyright. Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, Bill Border (and the Estate of Bill Border) retains the exclusive publication rights to all images created during his lifetime.
As the purchaser of the artwork, the client is granted a single-use license for the specific purpose outlined in the agreement between the client and Bill Border. This license permits the client to use the artwork for the agreed-upon purpose. Still, all other rights, including reproduction, distribution, and modification, remain with Bill Border unless expressly granted in writing.
In the rare occasion where the client requested and received additional usage rights when the artwork is created, such rights will be specified in the written agreement between the client and Bill Border.
Any unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or modification of the artwork without the prior written permission of Bill Border constitutes a violation of copyright law and may result in legal action.
